Hi Creatable community,

Something is happening here.

I've spent the last few weeks navigating a new city, building new relationships, and slowly watching CreatableMe go from "coming soon" to actually, really happening.

Last week I was in Hoi An — meeting collaborators, walking the streets, getting a feel for the community there. It's a different energy from Da Nang. Quieter. More intimate. And the families I've been connecting with are exactly who this was built for.

I also have some quiet news: someone who has watched CreatableMe from the beginning recently put their money behind it. No fanfare — just real belief in what this is becoming. That means a lot.

And then there's Tanja.

She brought her daughter to our pilot workshop in LA. This is what she wrote afterward:

"After the workshop, I feel closer to my daughter. We started talking more openly, and I can see she understands her emotions better. I was honestly surprised by how deeply she can think. Hearing her talk about personal values and choices was very special for me — one of those moments when you realize your child is growing in ways you don't always notice in everyday life. She still uses the materials at home, which keeps reminding us of what we learned together. I would tell other parents: definitely come. It's a great way to spend time together, have fun, and learn things that really matter."

This week's hero tool: Strength Spotting

Can't make it to Hoi An? Here's something from the workshop you can use tonight.

Most of us praise our kids for what they do. Good grade. Nice drawing. Great game.

But what actually builds identity — what kids carry with them — is when a parent names who they are.

That's strength spotting. And it's one sentence.

For parents: catch it and name it.

This week, watch for a moment when your child shows a character trait. Not an achievement — a quality. Then say it out loud, specifically.

Five phrases to start with:

  • "I noticed you kept trying even when it got hard. That's persistence."

  • "You checked in on your friend. That's real empathy."

  • "You told the truth even though it was uncomfortable. That's courage."

  • "You shared without being asked. That's generosity."

  • "You stayed calm when things didn't go your way. That's self-control."

One moment. One sentence. No big speech needed. Kids remember these more than we think.

For kids: draw your superpower.

After you've spotted a strength, invite your child to draw themselves as a superhero whose power is exactly that quality.

Ask them: "What would your hero name be if your superpower was [the strength you noticed]?"

Then let them draw it. No rules. No right answer. Just them figuring out who they are.

This is one of the core activities in the Hero Training workshop — and it never gets old.

Want to go deeper at home?

Super YOUniversity — A 3-day mini-course that helps kids calm big feelings, focus their minds, and build real confidence. 10 minutes a day. $67.

5 C's Companion Pack — Printable activity packs built around the Five C's. Creative prompts, empathy workbooks, storytelling tools. Designed for kids 7–11.

P.S. — If you know a family in Da Nang who'd love this, send them our way. Word of mouth is everything right now.

This community is small right now — and honestly, I love that. It means every reply, every booking, every share actually moves the needle. Thank you for being here early. It means more than you know.

Warm regards,
